NEWBURY DATA CENTRE Main Contractor: Mace Client: Nationwide Building Society Architect: Catwright Pickard Architects Ltd Structural Engineer: Hurley Palmer Flatt Contract Value: £4M Location:Newbury, Berkshire We carried out a ground works and concrete substructure works package at the Newbury Data Centre in Newbury. A major cut and fill exercise was employed to produce required ground levels, approx. 3.75m in height. These works at their peak required in excess of 150 vehicles a day to import the granular fill required to make up the necessary levels.
